P.E.A.R. was founded in 2009 to actively seek to explore the experimental and critical in Architectural discourse and practice. It also sought to investigate the relationship between art and architecture. The last, issue VII, titled ‘Meaning in Material’, emerged as collaboration with the Royal Academy of Arts (RA), London and appeared alongside a series of talks and events at the RA in 2014.
Previous contributors have included B.I.G, MVRDV, Jane Rendell, Jonathan Hill, Neil Spiller, Pablo Bronstein, David Kohn, The Architecture Foundation, AOC Architects and Liam Young. The paper was also featured in the recent exhibition titled ‘Archizines’ which was curated by Elias Redstone and which toured venues including Storefront in New York and the AA in London.
